A Study on Factors in the Innovation Process that Changed with the Growth of Japan's Niche Top Companies

Abstract
It is very important for companies to continuously innovate for their sustainable growth. It has been shown that innovation is a process and that the entire innovation process needs to be managed to implement the innovation. It is believed that innovation can be progressed in stages by indicating and controlling factors that affect the results in the innovation process. In this study, we consider innovation as a four-step process: creating value, communicating value, creating a scheme for achieving value, and implementing and retraining. Then, we report on the results of our investigation and discussion of the factors of the innovation process that changed with the growth of the company, focusing on ‘the linkage of the innovation process’, ‘the responses and changes in innovation process factors to company growth’, and ‘the changes in the shape of the organization and the presence of the company’, using the example of a major manufacturer of agricultural mowers.
